I noticed this with coffee a while back. Was putting several tablespoons teaspoons of sugar in to make it palatable but got distracted one day and only put in two, it was sweet and it was much better tasting
If it’s an unknown studio or something I’m dubious about I like to check spoiler free reviews after the launch just to see if everyone hates it/it’s broken or not and then I’ll give it a try. Other than that I still try to avoid most media about it. Reviews, trailers and forums give so much info, spoilers and wish lists presented as fact that it can lead to let down I wouldn’t have had otherwise
I’ve also tried to let go of the idea of what I want the game to be and just let it be what it is, which for me has made them much more enjoyable
For sure movies too. Trailers have ruined more movies than I can count. Going in blind or having only seen the first trailer really made the entire experience much more enjoyable for me
One thing I’ve found that helps is not watching trailers and reading articles/threads. I’ll watch a single trailer, usually the first one and then ignore everything else. Now I get to discover everything on my own and don’t have a ton of preconceived notions and opinions already in my brain when I first boot it up.
It’s made my gaming experience a hell of a lot more enjoyable again
Constant low level nausea and low energy is how I ended up getting diagnosed with my issue and though I still struggle with not wanting to eat sometimes it has gotten so much better thankfully. I hope they figure it out and help ya OP, I know how much it sucks
Children only exist in tv and movies to be assholes and make things worse
I loooove getting to late game, going to war and having to land armies on 3 planets and 4 habitats in every. single. bloody. system. /s
Had amazing luck with Warby Parker. Way cheaper than Walmart out of pocket for much, much higher quality than any of the vision stores I’ve been to
I’d recommend an in-person game of Pathfinder or DnD. The great thing about the game for me is getting rid of the electronics for a while and trying to be as creative as possible. If you can think it up, and convince the DM, you can do it be anything you want. Be as creative as you want. Come up with a character and their backstory and have fun.
Once you’ve played for a bit and have a good handle on things trying DMing. I was more afraid than I should have been and found that it is a ton of fun. Between getting to come up with and run the games I like to add my own twists and turns, bring things from previous sessions in as a surprise and most of all I love to see the creativity from the players and seeing how they fuck up all my carefully laid plans come up with amazing ideas and surprise me.
It can be an amazing outlet and a place to make some new friends. If you find a group that doesn’t work with you don’t be afraid to find a different one though, and remember that it’s meant to be fun.

The men’s section at bath and bodyworks has some great smelling ones that work great and since a little goes a long way a bottle usually lasts me months. Pair that with an exfoliating poofy or whatever it’s called and it does a fantastic job, doesn’t leave a strong scent and does wonders for my skin.
For deodorant I use arm & hammer essentials. Works great, no aluminum parabens or phthalates, isn’t overpowering or super smelly like Old Spice and doesn’t cause any skin reactions.
