1·1 year agoThere could be a second Einstein out there, but we’d never know, because she was unable to go to school.
I also used iPhones for a long time until I had to switch to a temporary phone due to age-related hardware malfunction. Out of curiosity, I tried /e/ OS and was very pleasantly surprised.
The temporary phone is now in use for at least a year and I also get to enjoy other extraordinary features like USB-C and a headphone-jack. In the future, I may also give LineageOS a try.
Unfortunatly, this will not be the case on iOS as Apple doesn’t allow third-party browser engines and stores

3·1 year agoI agree, someone has to store and maintain your data, but giving all instances access to it is a risk that could be avoided
So you can get the users voting on posts on other instances?
Could it be anonymized, so you can get exact up/downvote data from your instance, but when it comes to other instances you only get the absolute up/downvotes?
So any instance admin can analyze all users upvotes/downvotes and possibly derive political standpoints, likes/dislikes, opinions and location data from it
