Agreed, every investment has at least some kind of risk.

I agree with other comments, just throw in a good morning as you’re passing your coworkers. I like to raise my hand sometimes (as a wave) and even try to smile.
You could try LibreWolf. Its firefox but privacy focused and has sync disabled by default.
Edit: oh sorry i was talking about desktop
I have been living without YouTube for years. That includes alternative front ends too.
Although I must admit, i have a Netflix subscription which I use very actively.
My response to your comment is logical, easy to understand and informative. It can be read on Linux, Mac and Windows.
What is my response?
This is the right answer!
I keep reading that people hate CSS, but it’s my favorite markup language.
People are probably just frustrated with it because they didn’t learn it properly. But that applies to any other language too.
CSS is fucking awesome!
I’ve obviously missed something here, but why the hatred towards Rowling?
If a recipe describes 8 cups of flour, how many grams or kilograms do i need to buy then?
I agree with you on that point: Video hosting (or more accurately: bandwidth) is extremely expensive. This is why YouTube is basically a monopoly, despite most of its users being annoyed with it (I presume).
And isolated, without the rest of Google and Alphabet, it may not be profitable, despite all of the ads it feeds us. But from my understanding, YouTube is yet another data aggregator Google uses to make money. Indirectly I bet YouTube is very valuable for Google, even if YouTube itself is not profitable.
Why am I or would I be homeless? Because I don’t tip my Landlord?
Eternity is also my client of choice but come on, OP specifically asked for only Jerboa or Boost.
Just as personal information is on a large scale. YouTube/Google/Alphabet chooses selling our information as their core business model. As far as I’m concerned, they “don’t care” about the money they get from YouTube Premium.
I can justify spending money on a home built rig any day of the year. Whether I can afford it, is a different story T_T
I meant that in the way of mobile gaming become more feasible and widespread.
Oh, I see.
I’d say gaming on desktop is the traditional experience wouldn’t you?
Yes, I agree. I am getting the impression you are sensing/expecting a shift away from desktops due to the widespread mobile gaming you mentioned. Maybe I am too old fashioned and conservative in that sense but for me gaming should ideally be done on a desktop. Furthermore, I believe that gaming is best experienced and most desirable on a desktop.
Users are already paying with their personal information. Paying for YouTube is like tipping your Landlord.

What do you mean still game on desktop??
I’m not a FE dev but I know some JS basics. I imagine the site uses some blink (the chromium engine) specific features or css.
Sometimes i also think it’s for tracking reasons and they deliberately discourage other browsers
Earth too!
