Yea ther is a big difference between indexing and counting

Yea ofc there is allways a too big. But energy makes a lot more sense over a big area. Not in form of a big power plant, but in a big energy network. If it’s sunny in one region and they make a lot more power than they can use and at the same time a different region has a power shortage, because it’s a cloudy day it only makes sense to share the energy. The larger the skale of your network the more efficient is your energy production. Less recources get wasted.

It’s not that helpfull as everybody thinks and slowly people are realizing that.

Pls dont pirate indie games. They are usually made by a very small amount of people that work realy hard and deserve every cent. And usually they are very cheap. Everybody can spare five bucks once in a while.

That’s so sick. Realy want to dive back in, when I have a bit more free time on my hands.

The average person has to manually make all the accounts, switch between them, find the post and vote on it. Thats a lot of effort for one additional vote. If you realy want to have an effect you have to build a botnet and thats a lot of work to annoy some people.

I mean sure. It’s probably done in some extend. But on most posts it’s just not worth the trouble setting up a whole bot network, just because you don’t like to post of 3volver. And you could build a similar bot network for pretty much every other social media platform, so it’s not realy worth to invest that much time in altering the upvotes of a lemmy post. Lemmy beeing a network most people never even heard about.

But what do they care where you are working from, as long as the work gets done?

The amount of tankies and idiots with idiotic opinions is way to high on here. And in general I realy get what they are saying. Other platforms with a bigger user base don’t have that big of a problem with diversity. It bothered me too, it seems like the whole of lemmy has a very idiotic position on a lot of things and saying anything that is even in the slightest against that gets you down voted. That is something that sadly developed over time. In the early days everyone was way more friendly and less radical people were on here.

Well. No. Say that to yourself, but ideology and belive is a lot more complex than: I am smart, so I am left. Your believes mostly stem from influences in your childhood, like parents, friends, people you trust. It’s dangerous to lift yourself above others with different believes.

The problem is that a socialist worker doesn’t realy have a place to go to challenge their own opinion. Lemmy sadly has gone the way of an eco chamber. And for political discourse you need other people that have an opinion like yours that support you in your arguments. Currently it’s more like “this guy has a bad opinion, downvote him to hell”

It’s not enough for me to leave, because in general I realy like it here and with enough comunitys blocked it has become bearable.

I don’t get how places that doesn’t realy have any service, because it’s just some guy giving you something at the counter can ask for a tip. You didn’t fucking do anything to deserve that tip.

If all your friends have an apple phone it’s easy to buy one too. They have some features that makes having an android in an apple friend group quite anoying. For example the classic: “I’m going to air drop you the picture.” And then only after every apple user in the room has got the picture they think about sending it the classic way to the outsider. It doesn’t sound like much, but it doesn’t just happen with air drop, but with a lot of those features. Source: I’m the android guy in an apple friend group.

They all are far from techy… I think it’s wrong to generalize, but I think if you don’t know shit it’s easier to go with apple. Android usualy is far more customizable, but some people just don’t care and want a phone that just works. And for those apple can be the right option, because in general it’s easier to understand at a first glance.

Oh most social media probably keeps a copy. But your search history is usually stored locally, so it’s possible to delete that. Your internet provider only has a history of all sites that where visited via your internet connection and is unable to backtrack something to a specific device.

Stuff can absolutly be deleted. If you overwrite the stuff that was previously saved there it’s gone. The point is that cloud providers often just don’t delete your stuff. And whatever you do your network provider allways knows what you search for.
