In terms of driver development it’s more collaborating than just Windows releasing an API and the manufacturers creating the drivers. Bug reports from large manufacturers are absolutely taken seriously. Customers usually never see this interaction.

I would say maybe 1990-2010 was really a dominant time for Windows and that was also when they were actively improving, but now they have plenty of competition. It’s just that people have moved away from desktops. Mobile platforms are now an existential threat. Fewer and fewer people are buying desktops to begin with. Maybe Microsoft has given up on desktops and that’s why they’re making Windows worse.

I’m not sure Windows is a good example here since they’re historically well known for backwards compatibility and fixing obscure bugs for specific hardware.

Yeah but a baby has to be in the correct orientation and has to change orientation as it traverses the birth canal otherwise you’ll run into issues. An egg is rotationally symmetric along an axis so it’s much easier to push out. It’ll naturally rotate into the correct orientation and doesn’t need to be rotated.

That’s only true if you’re selling steam keys. Eg you are using Valve’s infrastructure. And they don’t even require the 30% cut in this case. If you sold the game using another infrastructure then you can price it how you want.

I’ve taken to making them jumping based. It’s not great damage, about 700-800 damage per hit but I’ve been enjoying the challenge.

The damage is bad but honestly I kind of like the moveset. It attacks fast and has ok range compared to any other free ranged option.

What’s wrong with bows? I kind of got bored with my bow run as it got too easy.

Of course modern UX design is very much based on getting the right answer with the wrong inputs (autocorrect, etc).

A lot of people would say the internet was down if a large number of those products weren’t available. Also companies like Google do own parts of the physical Internet infrastructure.

Yeah this is my goto time killer on the phone or tablet if I’m traveling. No need for an Internet connection so great on a plane.

If it’s something I don’t really want to do then it’s 1.5x my current salary assuming 8 hours of work per day.

I originally switched because there was still a small flagship iPhone. However I stayed because it works just fine and iMessage worked better than SMS for whatever that time period was before people moved to other messaging apps.

Now I use an Android phone for work and don’t really see enough advantage for me to switch.

Ah yes it is rather poorly optimized. Before it I was playing Against the Storm which doesn’t have such high requirements.

Also Mount and Blade provides some amazing single player experiences that are hard to find elsewhere. Get into a battle with hundreds of units, command a cavalry charge in first person while you personally lead a flank from the other side.
