I like to read old science fiction and check out the things the authors got wrong.
Maybe my favorite is the ‘mini VHS recorders’ from Neuromancer.
I wanted a Dick Tracy watch so badly. Tech just decided to skip all of that and put a screen on a watch. Boo.
What they really got wrong was the clothing: so much anime/hentai.

EasyTouch maxed out at 400 DPI and the 256 was 256 shades of grayscale.
It doesn’t say when the original ScanMan Color came out or how many colors it had but the Color 2000 didn’t come out until '96 and had a 24 million color pallette.
So, yeah, sounds about right for the ScanMan 32.
