They generally intend to move to vectors afaik. There was a blogpost and call for donations by them a while ago.

Yeah i was about to ask that. If they just took all amounts below 100 for themselves that would be super fucked up and probably illegal.
With these sites its actually not even a metaphor at all. Its a literal accessibility issue because closed sites like twitter and reddit dont allow open API access for apps building features for blind or deaf people.
Yeah my bad thats what i meant. They could be sued but not successfully. If the biggest modding platform doesnt fight back then there is little hope outside of decentralized platforms, but preaching to the choir on lemmy with that one…
I doubt they could be sued over this at all.
Nexusmods has always been cucked about this sort of thing. I cant blame them but its still sad to see.
Looks like a full sized tablet with side mounted controls

Very pretty if i might add
The drone works was really nice. Pretty cool video and always nice to see companies publishing their failures aswell.
Oof that sounds rough. Maybe the EU custumer service is run different. I never had any major issues with all the lenovos i used or set up for other people. Thinkpads and legions alike. But when i did have a family member break something, it was repaired (not replaced) in a matter of a few weeks without any warranty hassle.
But generally the quality of all things lenovo has definitely gone done in recent years for sure. I would recommend framework but those are not cheap and not really for gaming.
The lenovo legion series gaming laptops have been good in my experience. They also have fully AMD ones nowadays too i think. (If you are on linux that is a plus)
Yeah but it demonstrates googles unwillingness to cooperate and give fair warnings.
And its still better :)
Im 100% certain there is enough funding going to mozilla that is specifically intended to help firefox. All those donors, private and commercial, could/would switch if the public stunt of declaring mozilla a sinking ship is aggressive enough. I dont believe for even a second that more than 5-10% of mozillas money is going towards actual core firefox/thunderbird dev work. Its not cheap to develop im sure, but nowhere near the amount of money that mozilla sucks up every year.
Anything “more” will probably just be a thinly veiled attempt at more surveillance and censorship systems.
How did you get pics from inside Mozilla HQ? What a shitshow of a company at this point.
Im grateful to the people there keeping Firefox alive, but at this point they should consider splitting off from Mozilla and maintaining a fork or just joining the librewolf team.
I hope thats what they will do but i very much doubt it. Looking at her track record makes me think that she has no good intemtions with mozilla.
Which is what i adressed in the comment…
Loading vector tiles should require significantly less data/bandwidth while also offering completely linear scaling without any steps. I hope this works well enough to eventually replace the current implementation.
