The shining. I watch it every year at the first snow. I’m afraid I won’t get that chance this year.

check on your boomer relatives. is it just me or can any other people immediately tell an AI photo because of the lighting and Depth of field is always wrong? Like it’s always off.
I love Odyssey’s giant Greek world. It may be because I love Greek history.
Download it, have it forever. distribute. I wish projects like this wouldn’t use static websites for distribution, it’s what makes them an easy target. I hate static rom sites for a lot of reasons, but this is the main one.
Memmy is my favorite. cute name. Memmy for Lemmy
I’m nostalgic for Ubuntu when it still had Unity as default, and Linux mint around 2014. That’s when I began coding, and that’s the time I liked the look of them more than the current modern offerings. Plus there was more ease of customization it felt like
Yeah I feel the same. Have you played possum country?
The Machine is better than a lot of that stuff lol
Thank you. I’m only just starting rebuilding my local music collection. I’m tired of Apple Music dropping music or playing with versions. I’m hoping to build my own streaming server
I’ve always wanted a game that I could pilot from the planet to space and we’re here
I prefer launch no man sky to what it is now. Sometimes you don’t need a hundred features and multiplayer in a game. Sometimes you just want to calmly explore the universe and feel alone for a bit. Not have a million things to do and pop ups . I have enough of that in my life and other games
What I’ve seen from the average person, torrenting safely is for techies and most aren’t bothered with the effort of it. It’s a low hurdle that most people don’t want to waste time on. Building a local collection takes a shit ton of time. I’m currently rebuilding my music collection to roll my own music streaming server and I’m questioning the time value. But I’m sick of music I like getting deplatformed due to licensing
I like just good old gnome terminal. Theming scripts work well with it, like the gruvbox one that has like a hundred color themes. it’s got all the right features. just works
Currently, I have 3 DEs installed that I use regularly. Cinnamon, i3, and Unity. Cinnamon is for retro themes, and Unity is for a modern mac look after tweaks. and i3 is just nerd porn
I’m holding my judgment on AI assisted content. I already feel ai writing and image generation is still shitty, I’m less interested in something more complex like a video game.
Also, my 20+ years in the workforce has taught me that large and small companies suffer the same exact problems and both are greedy. Ai will be used to not hire workers, but to increase worker output , not lighten their load.
I trust indie companies to maybe make better content, but I expect them to rip off workers.
Not that I’m defending EA. There’ve ruined so many franchises.
Replace the screen or upgrade it with an lcd
That sounds like a nightmare. I would only discord for conversational communication at most. How does that even work?
Dirt 5, dirt rally 2.0. I must hate myself because it’s snowing and I drive a forklift outside
Unpopular opinion: if I have to fudge with Wine instead of Proton, I simply will not bother. It’s 2024. I’m not going to fiddle with configs, or get a setup together just to play a single game. That’s ridiculous. A game should 100% be one click to run, whether it’s native or not. and if that’s not what is expected in 2024, Linux get it together. sincerely: a full time Linux gamer that is a single parent and doesn’t have time to fiddle just to play a game. Wine and most of its front ends need a major overhaul.
