What I’m still not sure of is this… When these websites die will the LLMs stagnate with no new data to use for training or will they somehow keep up with new technology and eliminate the need for certain basic questions that would originally have required human input?
the FCC was looking for feedback on the hate of data caps
A Republican lead FCC (Ajit Pai or some other smug fuck) will never mobilize the FCC to curb unfair and unreasonable data caps.
The default should be “I’m horny” but unless I specify you have to guess who I’m horny for.
Debian + Containers is definitely the way. Literally so stable it’s boring.
I only go in the server room to t-pose in front of the giant air conditioner to cool off.
Soak in some gorgeous views and learn about your local waterways. Reconnect with the land around you.
Good advice while those things last I guess.
A republican majority lead by an authoritarian effectively ends any possibility that climate change can be slowed or reversed within any of our lifetimes. Don’t think of it as the hottest summer on record… think of it as the coolest summer of the rest of your life.
He’ll executive action everything and bypass the legislature entirely. Who will stop him? The courts?
Facial recognition confirmed he was a criminal and the scanner confirmed he had a gun! Of course we opened fire instantly. How could we have known it was just some guy with a water bottle?
Yeah this is one of those things where accessibility settings can probably get you 90% there but screenshots and machine learning can probably close the gap somewhat reliably (even if it’s much less efficient).

Same here. I love DuckDNS but after the third DNS outage taking down all my services I migrated to Cloudflare and haven’t had a single problem since.
People tend to think of digital things as unchanging and permanent but that isn’t really the case. I’m fascinated by the concept of bit rot and other ways that digital things can disappear or degrade over time.
It’s good that flash is not still an essential part of the modern Internet but its death did firmly cut off an entire era of Internet culture that cannot be experienced in quite the same way.
I have yet to have any success with Bottles but I assume it’s because I don’t know what I’m doing and I’m trying with software known to be difficult.
I remote into a Windows PC for Fusion 360 and Affinity suite but if I could get those working on Linux I’d be in really good shape.
Instead it is a message to tyrants: The US is for sale, you may loot and pillage as you desire. The law cannot and will not stop you.
