You can also set it up so biometrics can be used by apps but not to unlock the phone. That way it’s easy to get to your apps and such but trivially more difficult to unlock.

That only works if you’re rich
It’s one of those things where I didn’t know until I was in my 30s and figured imagining things meant thinking about them and not actually seeing them.
If you don’t know what it’s like you can’t miss something, ya know? But there are experiments that are trying to give visualisations to aphantasia folk. I’m not sure I’d try it because then I would be missing something.
But, big pro: I can see absolute horrific stuff and I’ll never be able to reimagine it. Describe a vile, nasty car wreck? Can’t see it but I know it’s bad. It has weird benefits
Dude, I’m a 5 lol
Most EA and Ubisoft games I’ve played run fine on Deck. Just need to run the game in desktop mode first and then it boots in the Steam UI side of the OS just fine.
University bookstore =/= University surplus store
You do get gouged to shit at the former though
Justifying why Apple does it compared to Google doesn’t make it better. That’s like saying, “Well, they didn’t hit me THAT hard so it’s okay. The other guy would hit WAY harder.” Neither is okay
But my point is, if you want to play said game onlline, you have to give up your privacy in unknown ways, too. There’s no way to know what Denuvo or whatever is sending off to their 800 corporate friends or what they’re collecting while you play, either.
Don’t multiplayer PC games have anti cheat software that is malware-esque and often times root level? I seem to see folks pissed about all the anti cheat software on PC all the time
Point being, don’t you get fucked to play online one way or the other anymore?
2% of nothing is still nothing 🤷
I’ll buy when it’s cheaper. They priced it too high
Apple already invented the phrase/name: Spatial Computing
Thanks for the tip! Do you think drg would be fun solo?
Thanks! Is drg fun solo?
Very enlightening. Thanks! So there’s still some big hurdle of what would be standardized to make resale of digital goods make sense otherwise it’s impossible to police who does and doesn’t have legit copies or who made a copy of the file, etc.
This may be a dumb question, but why can’t crypto something or an NFT be imprinted on my copy of the album/picture/whatever so I could sell it and lose my access? It’s this a function of no standardized marketplace for digital goods and services?
Where were you in the early 2000s? Lol
Shoot. And I was about to buy the other version… Maybe I’ll wait and see if this goes well and plays well on Deck. Any thoughts from fans of the first?
That’s a fair point but HoloLens also didn’t block your vision to the environment. I imagine with today’s tech, it would’ve been able to deliver comparable or at least 80% of the image quality while still not needing passthrough and still allowing you to pin screens everywhere.
My god Siege was good for the first few years. Intoxicatingly good multiplayer. Too bad they fucked it up trying to make it more CoD like. For example, I used to play with a completely hidden hud because it was so immersive and fun. Now it’s like rainbow six and Roblox had a baby and the weird game popped out. I can’t even hide my hud or crosshair any longer
