I break up letters Into words
I own a tesla. My comment is not a dig on the car, but a possible explanation for the increased accident rate.
Another thing about Teslas is that even a slight fender bender that does no damage to an older car will cause damage. The bumpers are full of sensors, all pastic, and repairs are expensive.
I wonder if more minor accidents are reported in Teslas causing the numbers to be higher?
They really don’t care about mods, do they?

That’s implying that the Lemmy devs are focused on new features.
I haven’t ever seen any user requested feature implemented.
I’m sure it played a part
I use Sync and if you had put Musk or Twitter in the headline, I’d never have seen this.
What sucks is that I can’t block “x” because too many other headlines have X in the word and the filter strips leading and trailing spaces from the keyword.
Honest question. I feel like I’ve seen this same story 5 times already… is it being reposted a lot?
My phone number is the same as the tech support number for a crappy dashcam company - except the last two digits are transposed.
I get a few calls and texts each month for them.
When I’m in a good mood I copy and paste a helpful response telling them the issue. When I’m annoyed, I just block the person.

A way to group communities would make my moderating tasks so much easier.
We’ve been asking for something like this from the beginning.
“Its too hard to maintain.”
“What if someone hits the pole holding up the panels?”
“It costs more than clear cutting a forest to put the panels in.” (True story)
Lots of bullshit reason.
I’m not rehashing this again, but there were many ways to tweak things, such as serving ads to the apps through the api, to charging a small reasonable fee to 3rd party app users. Instead they killed off the other apps.
I mod 9 communities. It’s quieted down a lot, but I’m not working hard to drive engagement and content back up right now.
The mod tools are practically non-existent, so why should I work to bring a community to a place where I won’t be able to manage it?
I need to see a feed of just what I moderate so I can scan all comments for issues. It’s not realistic to read every post one by one.
There needs to be options for minimum 'karma" score so a new user can’t just pop in and spam.
There are other needs that have been discussed in other threads already, but that’s my biggest gripe.
Any improvements to the moderator tools?
Darn, a Musk article got through my anti Twitter, anti Musk Sync for Lemmy filter. Time to ass Neuralink to it.
Ifs been glorious weeks since I saw Musk on Lemmy.
They really don’t care, do they?
Starlink really is great if you can give it full view of the sky. Other than Musk’s anti democratic stances and heavy rain cutting it out, it works so well.
My internet where I live is through cable and it’s terrible. Bad. Outtages all of the time. Down for days at times. So I switched to starlink. It’s fine. Works great EXCEPT WHEN IT RAINS HEAVILY.
Heavy rain blocks the signal. Elon Musk owns it.
Now, I have a t-mobile hotspot. It’s only $50 per month as opposed to the $110 for Starlink.
If you have no other decent option, Starlink is amazing. If you have other options, don’t give Musk your money.
Yes, it’s a picture of the patch of milkweed that we grow for the monarch butterflies.
