Did you read the post lol?
He says 3 out of all reports were linux specific.
Cant fully switch if everyone still using discord
Yeah sounds like you gotta stay on windows…all good
Could be crashing on alt tab if PC tries to switch to iGpu for DE?
Same. I think 80% of my pre existing library already worked and then every game ive bought since the switch runs perfect. I used to check protondb first, now I just yolo and add my report later.
If your AIO pump came with a hub you likely need to use it instead of plugging directly into the Mobo.
As an example my corsair AIO came with a hub and i didnt want to use it. Finished my build and found out i absolutely had to use it in order for the device to work properly.
OP this comment could be a major clue to whats happening with your AIO.
Gpay is still a thing, possibly what he is referring to.
Right on and no problem!
I Don’t use MS Office, unfortunately. You are going to have a lot of people say just try LibreOffice, but that does not work for everyone so I understand the hesitation.
Yeah that’s the beauty of it isn’t it… a lot of distros and desktop environments to choose from; there is a flavor for anyone!
For anyone switching from windows I recommend KDE Plasma as it’ll feel closest to what you are used to.
No experience with Pop, but I’ve heard good things!
Check out protondb.com … click explore and check out how many games run perfectly on Linux now.
Valve / the steam deck is really pushing development.
Check out Endeavor OS. I’ve been using it for about 3 months now as a full replacement to my old windows 11 set up… everything I’ve needed it to do, with the exception of a few games has worked either right out of box or with minor tweaks. The forums are active and the Arch Wiki has answers to nearly every question you may have about the backbone of the OS. System updates are incredibly easy and are done on your schedule, not Microsoft’s.
+1 for Endeavor. Started daily driving it for about 3 months now and it’s incredible.
Some of the minor tweaks I need to make really bring me back to the early days of learning PC and trouble shooting (but with actually solutions / outcomes this time and not just a brick wall at the end).
That being said nearly everything has just worked out of the box. Plus with timelapse (timeshift? I forget the name) you can basically be sure that you won’t brick the system if you mess anything up.
They are tho… like literally designed to be challenging but with perseverance, overcame.
This is the best answer on the thread… It uses ventoy and is like hirens on steroids.
