I get your point, but he didn’t create Tesla, he bought it (as far as I know). So it could be argued that these things would be happening with or without him. But with him, he’s giving electric cars (at least, that brand) a bad name.
I started playing Drakar & Demoner (now known as “Dragonbane”) in the 80’s, but after a long abscence from the world of TTRPGs I started playing D&D 5E in 2020. Now I’m exploring Pathfinder 2E, as well as designing my own GURPS-inspired game. My home in the Fediverse is https://ttrpg-hangout.social.

It’s the only one that I’ve found that has Smart Play. I’m not sure why not all podcast players have this, it’s such a great feature. Going back to something without it, would feel like going back to the stone age.
Exactly. Good example.

Welcome! So far, in my experience, this is a much friendlier community that… many of the alternatives.
It’s not that simple. There’s also the issue of paying rent for offices which also feeds into shareholder (although possibly different shareholders) profits, etc. I’m no expert, but I have a feeling this is all very complicated.
unregulated weapons made from kids
By god I hope they mean “for” kids or “by” kids. If people are making guns from kids, we really have a problem.
Yes. These people are not entitled to be business owners. If they can’t hack it, then get out of the way for the people that can. But don’t worry, business owners - I’m sure you’d be perfectly happy being a gig worker for another company instead, right?
Yeah, anything Justin Alexander posts is usually good. He’s one of the wisest people on the scene, if you ask me.
I’m totally with you on this one - downvote is not meant as a “I disagree” button, but it is used that way which created the famous Reddit “hive mind” problem. So this has been a pretty peeve of mine for years. It is already creating the same problem here.
But unfortunately, we’re tilting at windmills on this case, so I think we will just have to accept that this is the way it’s going to be.
Hear, hear!
The downvote button means “this is not a worthwhile contribution to the discussion,” not “I disagree.” That’s what the reply button is for.
Yes. I’ve experimented with this too. This is the perfect use case for LLMs - there are no wrong answers, the LLM should just make something up, which is what it does.
