They have it really bad over there. My understanding is most European countries would laugh at Canadian labour law, but Canada laughs at the US’s.

Depends on the Province I think. Where I’m at you’re entitled to 30 min off (unpaid) within the first 5 hours, and another within 8 if you’re working longer than 8 hours. 15 min breaks are not mandated except that if the company gives you them they must be paid.
I wish this was true so that there would be a hard limit to within this century, on how much ff related damage we will do.
Unfortunately, they are still finding more, particularly in the north. How much yet-to-be-proven oil still out there is what really should be considered along with technology improvements that increase how much oil can be effectively recovered.
That information is mentioned in the video
Could have said that in your first reply instead of arguing. But you know… I’m the one that needs better self-awareness.
Also, despite being ‘safe’ there are still “regulatory dosage limits” that apply (and this device seemingly does comply with).
A 6W laser could easily damage the retina.
I’m not interested in rhetorical arguments guessing ‘it should be fine’. I want a radiation output comparison between this lamp and other common avenues of UV exposure (sunlight, welding, tanning beds, etc…), or the creators/relevant 3rd party safety board flat out declare the possibility of eye damage was considered/tested and ruled out.
As it stands now, the article conspicuously avoids mentioning eyes to talk about how safe the skin is and that makes me wary.
Most of the power in welding doesn’t go into UV generation, but this lamp is all about the radiation. I’d like to see a comparison of their respective UV outputs to be sure.
wavelength is that it is long enough to deactivate viral and bacterial air contaminants, but short enough not to pass through the outer layer of dead skin or the tear-layer of humans.
What about the eyes? As a welder the first thing I think of is getting Welder’s Flash.
Here you go!
The video almost literally says nothing more than the title. “Abiogenesis is how life began in the beginning and science isn’t sure why. You could get a nobel prize for its discovery. Thanks for watching”.
Adding website to my block list TY
Better media and infrastructure support, name recognition, corporate privacy issues instead of no privacy whatsoever, ads, pay-to-win social ‘cred’ (blue check-mark), an insane leader, and an algorithm controlling your content.
;tldr Tor is fine as long as you are keeping it, and related tools up-to-date. Dude de-anonymized as using an old tool with known vulnerabilities fixed in later versions
This is not war this is pest control
Ah, you see it from Israel’s POV. Interesting.
At a certain point it stops being worth it. If sending a brainwashed 11 yo to blow up a checkpoint means you can no longer trust having any technology near you, your family and friends it might cause hesitation.
I hate that I’m subscribed to this community 😄
That’s 27000 streams/hour. How? Why did this take years to discover? How did this not get automatically detected within minutes?
WTF am I doing with my life if it is this easy to scam 2.4million in a year? 1 year and I could yoink it all and move to some BF island in the middle of nowhere with no extradition and live the rest of my life playing Blackjack and Hookers.
Seek a second opinion. That doctor is not listening to you. Something other than aging is going on and it should be properly investigated.
edit: is severe arthritis in your family (or any other bone/joint disease)? Are you exposed to large or long term doses of chemical(s) or radiation in your life through work or living environment (industrial zone nearby/upwind, or very old home). These are things I’d be considering.
Well I wouldn’t accept “I dunno” as an answer any more. “you are old enough now that it’s time for you to know because if you don’t people will take advantage of you”.
Every time they say ‘I dunno’ demand a single page report on the answer complete with at least 2 sources. No TV/Phone/Whatever until it is done. They’ll stop uttering that real quick. The key is co-participation though. Telling them something is important is meaningless when compared to showing them it is important by sitting down and helping them figureidout.
