I’m in an open floor plan with cubicles. There is one asshole who has an office, he insists on having loud conversations, with his door open, on mother fucking speakerphone through his tinny laptop speakers. I’ve resorted to a white noise playlist on Spotify. He’s a client, so not cool telling him to fuck off.
Even better, buy a gift card for slightly more than the cost of the father’s day card. Use the gift card to buy the card so the remaining value is an odd number so it’s obviously used.
Boeing used to be a company that put safety and quality first, they revolutionized plane travel with the 737. But recently Boeing has put share price ahead of safety and decided to move their corporate office from Seattle, where the planes are built and engineering is done, to Boston (edit: Chicago, not Boston). Why? Because executives heard that successful companies have corporate offices in a separate location. Then the merger with McDonnell Douglas, who has a horrible track record just made Boeing’s quality slide even further. Boeing now parcels out work to subcontractors who subcontract even further and there is no oversight or quality control on the components. This results in “door plugs” missing bolts or having bolts that were not tightened properly on the 737 max.
This is going to be a total dad joke, right? I’ll bite, why?

My dishwasher is connected to the network. I can start it from my phone but it’s more convenient to press start when I close the door and put in soap. The only reason I’d want it to be connected to the network is if it had tiny cameras inside. Why do network connected dishwashers not have tiny cameras and lights, so I can watch it actually cleaning my dishes?!
Jon and Vinny’s is such great food too, it’s a shame that they pull this shit. Last time I went, I just rounded up to the nearest $ and paid with cash. I’m not tipping on top of an 18% auto gratuity. I would say they should just raise their prices, but that place is already very expensive…
Path C: get fired without cause because you needed to take a day off to recover.
Way less children
$50 CAD (including 20% tip), been going to the same stylist for years! Used to be cheaper but inflation / experience warrants the price that she charges. For my last haircut of the year (around Christmas) I’ll tip $50 on top of the $40 cut.
My favorite is “Okay open up Explorer, no Windows Explorer, ok close Internet Explorer, open the folder looking one, no need to double click the folder, shit you just moved that folder into another folder, we need to undo, press Ctrl+Z, wait at the same time, well not the exact same time, press Ctrl a bit earlier… Ok, Edit pulldown and click undo… how about you shift over and let me drive”
