Someone on here posted a glowing review of Fields of Mistria. I downloaded the game and I can’t stop playing it!
It’s that perfect cozy farm Sim game, mimicking the best parts of Stardew Valley and minimizing the worst parts. I cannot wait for the full release, and I’m so glad I happened upon that review!
Dawwwww I bet he loved it!
And you did pet him, right?
Yes, my husband was on the suspended list in our county for years, despite us owning the same home since 2013. He’d even fill out the little address verification card and send it back, stating that the location on record was still valid. Didnt matter, because every single election he would still pop up “suspended” at the polls. He had his TDL, and he’d have to fill out an extra form, but he’d be allowed to vote.
This year, I decided enough was enough and we put our house up for sale, because once I leave Texas this time, I’m not coming back.
I contacted our county registrars office to get our VUIDs so I could update our new address at our rental, and we found out he just…didnt have a VUID? They had no record of him voting in Texas at all…yet he’s been able to vote with a “suspended” status with his TDL for years now…living at an address he hasnt deviated from since he originally registered in Texas.
Honestly, I think he was just finally removed since he’d been in “suspended” so long 🤷♀️. Im unsure if it was a legit mistake, or if some genuine fuckery was going on.
But we’re all gucci now. Both confirmed registration again back in September. Awaiting 21 Oct with bated breath!
Yeah. In Maryland all alcoholic beverages are in a liquor store. Walmart legally does not sell beer or wine there. Not gas stations. Nor anywhere other than the “packy store”.
Its hella inconvenient.
I’m someone who puts all sweets in the freezer/fridge, and just realize that some become borderline inedible with this.
9th
Crunchwrap Supreme and drench it in Diablo Sauce with every bite!
Its my go to order!
Late to the game but it was DnD night for me! Nearly lost a party member but our cleric pulled a revivify! (Honestly with the diamond requirement, we pulled some shenanigans to get it to work but the DM was chill about it). But @ 2300 hrs, the fucking bad guy came back with a second health bar and like all of us are tapped for spells and potions, so we’ll see next session who actually makes it out! Got my second character set up already!
He wants to send his daughters to school in a place where they’re not only being valued for their wombs. Where they’re looked at as being equal contributors to their field of study. Where they’re provided opportunities the same as every other scholar there, and not assumed to be in college to find a husband.
And, yes, there is a bit of “if they get into trouble will they have options?” At play I’m sure as well.
Quit being obtuse.
Wuthering Waves is Hella good. Technically it’s an open world gacha game, but I played through all the storyline (the developers will be forever updating the story a la Genshin Impact), and I never spent a dime on it.
Also, I have spent money on Cooking Diary. However, I went about 3 months of daily play before I did, and it was more about me being impatient/telling myself “You got 3 months of daily play, you can drop the devs $4.99”. I’ve played that game just about daily since Memorial Day 2023, and I’ve dropped $5.00 quarterly. There are regularly moments of infinite lives that exceed an hour or two, that it genuinely isn’t necessary. I spend the money more as a “thanks for not making this ducking game contingent on microtransactions, making it good, and maintaining/update it.”
God he was so fucking funny. It was a legit travesty when he let the mask slip and showed us he was actually a huge prick that shouldn’t be supported.
I mean, it’s still a place I’d tell people to go visit. The bars/restaurants are awesome, and the (not so distant) history is sobering. I found the Stasi museum hella interesting/terrifying.
I’d just mentally prep people before-hand for the, ah, “bluntness” 😂
My friend and I just assumed he could tell we were American and didn’t want to serve us. We didn’t stick around to ask. And he didn’t tell us off or to leave or anything, but just more blatantly ignored us.
Like I said, overall still good time. Everyone else was nice and happy enough to chat/serve us (or at least appeared to be lmao)
I’m white af, but, as an American, I didn’t get treated as rudely anywhere else in Germany than Berlin. Still had a great time overall in the city, but, not really in a rush to go back.
My friend and I were standing at a bar mulling over the menu, just kind of murming to one another over what drinks we wanted while we were waiting for the bartender to finish up with his other customers. It wasn’t busy, but he was attending to other people. When he was finally done, he approached us and I said “Hi how are you?” with a smile. He didn’t say a single word to us, just took the menus from in front of us and put them on the back shelf, and then turned away.
So we left. Our money clearly wasn’t good enough there, and we spent it in another bar across the alleyway instead.
This is my answer too! I can never decide if I liked Prague or Brussels more!
Both highly underrated places to visit for Americans imo.
I have a huge crush on Charlie Day as well! I think I’d take him as Dr. Newt Geizsler from Pacific Rim tho. While I am usually like “Daw I love Charlie” in IASIP, there’s something about him wearing winter underwear with socks that’s an immediate turn off. 😂
That turning on the light in the car at night was illegal because it would cause a glare on the windshield.
I believed this into my mid-20s when my husband corrected me with a fuckton of teasing and incredulity.
I saw this for the first time in Brussels! Our Airbnb host got a kick over how enthralled 3 American women were over the idea of a lawn roomba 😂.
Yeah I’m in Texas and my spam filter looks just like OPs and others who have posted in this thread.
Im starting to think this is a general American issue and not a swing state-vs-solid state issue
