Well, I’m sure you’re right.
Well, I’m sure you’re right.
I assume that OP isn’t sleeping with the wrist wearing the watch underneath the pillow their wife has her head on.
Pulling your arm from under a pillow someone is using seems very likely to disturb them and wake them. You’re not doing that, OP, right?
I can’t imagine that you can get out of bed without waking your wife if your smartwatch vibrating wakes her up.
Depression is the name for a set of symptoms. The cause of depression can be a disorder, a disease, or environmental.
During the court-sanctioned intrusion, the DOJ “enabled temporary collection of non-content routing information” that would “expose GRU attempts to thwart the operation.” This did not “impact the routers’ normal functionality or collect legitimate user content information,” the DOJ claims.
I bet.
Yeah, I wasn’t very clear about what I meant.
I was talking about this part:
I generally prefer not to have a shared identity across communities
Same. It makes it much easier for someone to doxx you.
I am interested in the methodologies. I would like to see what studies use for a baseline in comparisons, whether they are comparing data collected today to data collected in the past, who is making the determination about whether a child has a mental illness or not, what role parents play in these sorts of studies, what sort of mental illnesses the studies look for or find, and the magnitude of the impact found by the studies.
I would also like to see exactly what you referred to as “unprecedented mental illness in kids.”
Have you read studies about how social media may be related to unprecedented mental illness in kids?
I’d like to see those studies.
I see your point.
I think I would still like it. I don’t have a problem with it not being implemented because other people wouldn’t like it.
If you know who is being toxic, you can block them.
Another interesting concept that came from the discussion over that was “constructive downvote” - requirement of commenting why one downvotes a post.
I think I like that idea.
All of my encounters with individuals who feel liberal arts are useless and STEM is the way seem to, at their core, feel that way because of earning potential
You were saying a group of people believe that value as a person is determined by their contributions to STEM fields and finance.
Now you’re saying that this group of people believe that value as a person is determined by earnings potential. Those are not the same things.
FTA:
Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has abolished any requirement for applicants to use this ancient clicking and buzzing magnetic media when filing official documents. Until last week there were about 1,900 official governmental application procedures that stipulated businesses must submit floppies or CD-ROMs (specifically) containing supplementary data.
Security exists between keyboard and chair
In theory
a person’s intrinsic value and overall value to society is not determined by their contributions to STEM fields and finance
I don’t think anyone who views contributions in STEM fields as the most valuable to society has any respect for finance.
White noise sounds like radio static.

People listen to it for many reasons.
I agree that typing on a keyboard isn’t a substitute for therapy. Writing can serve as an creative outlet for emotion in the same way as music or painting.
