    Gamblers care. Since sports betting was made legal everywhere, gambling is an enormous source of ad revenue for every pro sport.

      Lots of people only watch because of fantasy football.

      If the scores on the app/site load before the play is shown, it kind of defeats the purpose.

      Live sports kind of need to be live.
