Been on a hiatus for a while but I dabble
Samesies. The fam seems to gravitate to it around the holidays
Found a server I like, modded minecraft is win. Vanilla is bland in comparison.
I do, but currently my PC is busted so I tried the Switch version. It’s not nearly as good, with input lag and very slow menus. And of course I miss all my old mods.
Every now and then, though the only time I play vanilla is with my kids, otherwise if I get the itch to play myself, I’m playing modded Minecraft.
Create mod is an outstanding mod that lets you build convoluted machines with spinning/moving gears to make some pretty interesting setups, really an outstanding mod that fits in a bit more thematically than redstone (well, kind of. Create Astral lets you build a rocket ship and explore the solar system, so it strays quite a bit from Minecraft vanilla).
All The Mods is a “kitchen sink” mod that throws in hundreds of different mods into the game and changes it up quite a bit, adding in sci-fi and magical elements into the game and really makes the game feel fresh again. I’ve gotten to the point of building a functioning Fission Reactor that hasn’t even exploded once (this can actually happen).
There’s plenty more than that, but those are the two big ones I’ve gotten into.
