With reddit I could go to the sidebar and quickly type in a subreddit if I wanted to browse it specifically.
What’s the KBIN or Lemmy equivalent? Using the search function doesn’t seem as simple even if I can usually eventually find something to click on (seems like it’s usually some random comment from the magazine).
Edit: oh and any way to combine magazines from differ places into one view? Sort of like the multi thing reddit did for a bit.
You’re doing it right (for now). You could go to your profile and click your “subscribed” if you need to click, though.
There is no current equivalent to multireddits (for now).
Welcome to the frontier, pilgrim.
OK, perfect! I really just wanted to make sure that I wasn’t missing something obvious (and maybe to get the idea out there).
Thanks!
@dismalnow Cool, I just tick Subscribed option.
Check out lemmy tools. They give you res-like “my subreddit” sidebar in the browser. Although it’s also a bit annoying how it covers a few buttons on the ui i’d say
Update to latest and let me know if the little tab is working better for you and not covering elements. If it’s still annoying, what size screen are you on and I’ll try and style it better!
The latest makes it much better!
It used to cover the profile button on the right. Although i also notice old reddit/compact layout no longer seems to work for some reason and this is with lemmy’s default styling.
Thanks for making these tools!
Yeah with the Lemmy 0.18.2 update it is seemingly broke. I talked to the creator of it and they are going to release an update soon. I think with the bad ui changes of 0.18.1 everyone was waiting for them to reverse them but they reverse them with a twist on 0.18.2
using jerboa i have a list of my subscriptions at the bottom of the sidebar and when i choose “subscribed” tab, i only see posts from those
I’ll have to check out Jerboa. I’m currently using a lite app with Hermit.
Thanks!
Jerboa supports kbin?
Lemmy users see kbin magazines as communities and vice versa. OP mentioned/asked in the context of both platforms.
My mistake, I was honestly more hopeful they had added it!
