Wear OS 4 also introduces the ability to transfer your Pixel Watch data to a new phone without a factory reset as well as a way to back up your data and settings from your Pixel Watch when you’re ready to upgrade to a new one.

Well that would have been really nice to have when I got a new phone last month. It was a huge pain to factory reset it and then set it all up again.

I would not buy this thing again. I own the exact copy of what’s in the picture and can’t believe they would release this on the market.

Bear in mind, I used a Fitbit Sense for about a year beforehand, and gave that to my SO. Why would I ever want to do back, right?

    The two major flaws are:

    • Battery life sucks dick like Jenna Jameson (really good for her, not so good for a watch)
    • It won’t notify you when it’s getting close to dying (Why would you need that on a watch last lasts a day and a half?)

Of course, I asked for it for Christmas so I’m stuck with it for a while longer, but I’ll be going back to Fitbit at first opportunity. Sure, Fitbit is a tad bulkier and doesn’t have the same cool factor, but all the same features, twice the battery life, and yes, it reminds you that it needs a charge. Do not get this crappy Google product.

I agree that the battery life isn’t great, but that’s the only issue I have with it.

It won’t notify you when it’s getting close to dying (Why would you need that on a watch last lasts a day and a half?)

Mine vibrates and gives a notification when the battery hits 15% or something. Might be 10%. I largely get by with just charging it when I get ready in the morning. And the battery life has also gotten way better since release, some of the updates made a big difference. It’s gone from maybe getting a full workday to easily getting a day and a half now if I put it in night mode overnight.

Mine lasts all day, reminds me at 10%, and I charge it while I’m in the shower and it’s full. I just put mine on the charger and checked for updates and was pushed the latest.

I researched after noticing no reminders because I thought it was a config issue. I ran into multiple articles stating there is no reminder.

If there is one now, It’s either a different generation watch or got added in the last 6 months or so. I’ll check again.

Got mine right after it released and I get the notification. As far as I remember I’ve always gotten it. But it doesn’t appear on your phone, just on the watch.

I’ve never seen it there either. When I had the Sense, it reminded me on the phone and perhaps I’m used to that. I keep the watch face off unless I push the button to try to conserve battery.

Its cool that at least some of your get a reminder, but overall I’m very disappointed. For me, articles like this show that it’s a design issue.

I’m not some Google hater either, I love my Pixel and have been loyal since the 3. This was just a huge let down.

      Battery life sucks dick

Can’t confirm. My Pixel Watch takes around 1½ days to completely day while fully in motion

It won’t notify you when it’s getting close to dying

Can’t confirm. My watch notified me when it was aroumd 15% and another (I believe) at 5%.

Maybe you setup your watch wrong like cinema mode?

This battery life doesn’t work for me, but it’s consistent with the competition. Non-Ultra Apple Watches last a bit over a day, Samsung’s offerings last about two days. I switched to a Garmin because two weeks fits my wants much better and it’s just a better piece of hardware for everything I want.
