I’m looking for podcasts on Spotify to listen to, which are aviation related.
Finding podcasts is always difficult though, and using mouth to mouth recommendations seems to work best, so I would love to hear some suggestions from this community!
Mentioned in another thread, but There I was and Never again by AOPA. Both of these podcasts cover real stories as told by pilots about when they’ve gotten into a dangerous situation - and how they got out. Never again is particularly fun to listen to since its’ episodes are no longer than 10 minutes most of the time. If you’re interested in air safety (you should be if you’re even thinking about getting licensed ;) ) then this is a must listen in my opinion.
The Fighter Pilot Podcast by Vincent “Jell-O” Aiello (ret. naval aviator) is also interesting if you’re into military aviation.
They seem interesting. Aircraft accidents always make for engaging stories somehow, added them to my list! I’ll see if I like em, thanks!
I’m not on Spotify, but most podcasts work anywhere.
I’m really enjoying Black Box Down.

Little bit of a shame they ended it
A shame to hear that they did! I’m still working my way through the back catalog. The cadence of the speech and the pacing work very well for me where a lot of podcasts don’t. (I’m hard of hearing, so a lot of podcasts can be difficult for me to follow).
Black Box Down is one I like, but it’s definitely geared more towards casual listeners than for aviation experts.
I think I listened to an episode of that one yeah. From what I remember they were explaining basic stuff, and I got annoyed listening by it hahah
Yeah it’s definitely a casual enthusiast explaining things to a guy who knows absolutely nothing. Which is definitely more my level.
