It’s a bummer that they got rid of the skant so quickly. I wonder if today’s fashion would be different if Star Trek continued to show all genders wearing pants or skirts during the height of its popularity in the 90s. Maybe it would have been somewhat normalized for men to wear skirts too.

Dunno if it’s true or not, but I remember reading that Picard brought being shaved bald to the mainstream. So like, folks younger than the thinning hair age would do it.

Again, can’t vouch for if it’s true or not, but if true, it would suggest it might be possible…

… that said, a cool character would probably have to wear one. And not just nameless background extras.

I love the skants. Lower decks has made it canon that they are still around but unpopular, so maybe some trek series will be brave enough to put the whole damn crew in skants.

I never liked them. A military outfit that also looked like a1960s gogo dancers outfit. And really impractical with the Jeffries tubes.

They looked better with the pants for sure.

How are tights not the best thing, even for Jeffries tubes? No less appropriate than track and field athletes training in compression tights.

A scant is really just a long tunic.
