There are exceptions of course but its mainly cities like the centre of tokyo where you have extreme density, money and incentive to live. Of course the other thing is skyscapers are cool af. I think the solution is the same as with cars and a lot of other things: moderation.
The gain from building higher isnt linear. You have to use more space for elevators, re-enforcements, safety(fire for example), etc. The cost of the apartments go up drastically so most people who buy them dont live there, they just invest. Midrises are much better in all of these aspects. Also the materials needed for skyscrapers harder to mamufacture so with all of these they are just plain worse for the environment. Göterborg is a pretty good example of how midrises are better in almost every case.
Isnt this literally the reason why SOG Mutahar said he would switch to windows? This is great news.
Btw there are things called “screws” and they can look cool on a more traditionally male watch or you can put it on the back plate androgynous or female watch. You dont need glue for waterproofing, thats just anti-repair propaganda. Look at every mechanical watch, gshock, garmin, etc they all have screws and 100,200 or even more meters of water resistance. If the battery, screen, back assembly and maybe the buttons are repairable thats already good for a smartwatch.
Cool and all but did they really need to build it? I think every big city should have one really tall building you can go up and look down but other than that skyscrapers are a huge waste of money, manpower, resources, etc.
I dont live in norway so i cant say but the number of github users is also really high in norway if i remember right and most norwegians i know are pretty tech literate so i could believe this stat. But you never know how accurate the measurments are and how well your social group represents the whole country. For example hungary only has 3.4% while if i had to guess i would have said like 8~10% because i knew so many people who just used it because it was faster/worked better/was cheaper.
Not surprisingly norway is the highest(i could find). Kinda dissapointing as someone who lives in sweden where its really low. Sadly i see this in everyday life as well. Everyones so tech ignorrant in everyday life and most people just find it strange if you dont use the same stuff as everyone else(tbf the culture is also like that) so everyone uses windows with all the spyware. Im not even kidding most people i know use edge and bing…
Back when it was creeping up to 3% i said its probably 5% and i still hope its that because we are getting really close to global 5%. The other thing is it should probably overtake unknown because then you can really call it the third most popular option without some old windows versions getting in the way.
Ah youre one of the lucky ones. Battery life on linux is really hit or miss. Sometimes double, sometimes half, sometimes the same. This is because every laptop has to have its own profiles which is not easy to do because that means every laptop has to be owned by someone who can and is willing to develop patches for it.
Yeah i just see a deleted comment and insane chaos…
Yeah they look similar. Idk anything complicated about trains, just every time i go into the city i take the train so yeah
Lol this look exactly like the regina västtågen uses… they are electric, fast, comfortable, a LOT of people fit on them(commuter train).
Ah ye i get you. I also comment like this sometimes.
I love how phone manufacturers are like “oh we cant do waterproofing and easy repair at the same time, its too complicated” and then they release one of the most mechanically complicated comercially available devices ive ever seen.
Truly apple moment
I think its a good use of yeet
Most reasonable people say c is good, rust is better
No thats virtual ram that works differently. Virtual ram is usually much more than 8gb.
Yeah and arch is a distro where you do things yourself.
